ヴァイオレットの10話のアン回、お母さんの手紙と共に、アンの成長する過程まで映してくれたのが余計に泣きだった…アン超美人になってた それにヴァイオレットの心の成長も感じられた

I get why this anime gets put in the same category as stuff like Clannad, Your lie, Plastic Memories, I want to eat your pancreas, etc but Violet Evergarden has a completely different vibe then those ones to me. All those anime are pretty normal at first but they kinda have erie vibes because you get the feeling something bads about to happened then they kinda make you think it's not gonna then they just slap you in the face. I never got that with Violet Evergarden.

Rarely do I ever cry, but this ending destroyed me after seeing it the first time. I haven't even lost my parents but watching this made me think about that day eventually coming. Just reading the episode title makes me tear up. Eventually I'll finish the rest of the series, but after this episode, I think I'll need a bit of time.

First ever anime episode that made me cry… in history!!! It totally broke me… 😭😭😭😭😭

바이올렛 에버가든의 10화는 저의 군 시절 어머니가 생각나게 해주는 장면 입니다. 저는 한국에 군 시절때 계급이 병장쯤 되어서, 갑작스러운 어머니의 사망소식을 접하게 되었습니다. 그렇게, 군에서 어머니의 사망소식을 듣고, 휴가를 다녀온 뒤, 제가 전역하기 4일전에 어머니가 죽기전 제게 편지를 보냈었습니다. 그 편지를 읽으면서 지금까지 그 낡은 편지는 제 소지품에 소중하게 포장하여 간직하고 있습니다. 이 장면을 볼 때마다 저의 군 시절 어머니가 보내준 편지가 자꾸만 생각나게 만듭니다.

Most of the translations did not catch the background ending theme. The 2nd part of the ending theme actually fits the story very well. I encourage everyone to look up the meaning of the lyrics there.

It's really funny, the way things work. Today is October 14th, the day we celebrate Mother's day in my country. A couple of hours ago I've finished watching the entire series in one go. Hadn't known what to expect from the show before I started, and sure hadn't known anything about episode 10 in particular. Haven't cried like this since 2018, this is heavy. Heavy in a good way, sorrowful, breathtaking. My mom and I, we live in different countries, and although I said my congratulations to her today, it's not the same when you don't see her face, feel her presence, or unable to give her the flowers you bought for the occasion. And then, completely unprepared, you watch this episode. That's just crazy. Now I'm looking at my comment through the mist of tears. Guess I just want to leave these words here. Love you, Mom! And happy Mother's Day to you lot!
